There is something compelling about the eclectic style, and smooth melodic tones coming from a former background singer of 20X Grammy Award Winner and previous personal stylist for nationally known gospel musician Kirk Franklin.   It could be her vibrant colorful hair, infectious joy and love to serve others, beautiful laugh and smile, and/or the pure innocence in her sweet voice when she sings sharing the love of God.  Whatever it may be, Titia Owens has hit the ground running with her single “Runs Deep” – that has many radio stations and television stations eager to play in rotation and have her live on their shows country-wide.  Titia is a native of Dallas, Texas and is taking the gospel radio network by storm coming from the background to the forefront with her gracious spirit and obedience to God, praise and worship ministry with a contemporary gospel recording sound that is compelling for all and will be played across all radio station genres nationwide.  

Titia is a Graduate from the Arts Magnet where she majored in Music.  She continued to pursue her music educational endeavors at Texas Woman’s University.   

In her repertoire, Titia has worked with Prince, Fred Hammond, Mint Condition, Myron Butler, Joy Trout, Anthony Evans, Priscilla Shirer. Candy West, Stylist J. Bolin, Melani Ismail, Naomi Raine, Byron Cage, Michael Bethany, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, and Marvin Sapp.  She also toured with the group Ashanti as they performed the hit song they wrote, “There Is Something Wrong With A Little Bump & Grind”.  This song was a response to an R. Kelly track from the 90’s.

As a resident in Dallas her and her family yield their support in ministry through her organization Where Are You Outreach (WAYO) , home church of over 28 years Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church, along with the City of Dallas Homeless Commission as board member appointed by the City Council where she served for 7 years.

 

Additionally, Titia Owens is a motivational speaker with a true story of triumph. While experiencing homelessness, this question was birthed from her experience Where Are You? During this difficult, but awakening process Titia experienced the physical and emotional challenges having no place to go; however, she felt the presence of God through it all. She became keenly aware that you can be homeless your whole life, searching for your place, purpose, and living unstable day to day. As her circumstances shifted she has become known as one who creates her own opportunities to advocate for the homeless.
